OLDS — June 2 was a tough day for two local golfers at the Olds Golf Club.

Rees and Dawson Smith entered the Alberta Golf Tour’s Olds Open, but the field was just too tough.

When it was all over, Rees and Dawson found themselves way down the leaderboard.

The tournament ended in a three-way tie for first place among three Calgary residents: Tyler Kidd, Jeff Swarts and Mike Robinson all of whom fired a 77, five over.
