An Olds athlete is one of nine new recruits for the Olds College Broncos female soccer team.
She is Humera Mirza, a striker and midfield player who stands 5-6.
Mirza names Lloydminster as her hometown. However, she attended Olds High School and played in the Olds Minor Soccer system in 2017-18.
She's taking business management at Olds College.
“Growing up I watched the Broncos compete and I hope to inspire a new generation of young athletes, much like I was,” she says.
“Humera will add a local flavour to the Broncos program," head coach Macky Singh says. "A physically strong player, Humera will add depth in the midfield.”
