OLDS — The École Olds High School senior girls volleyball team has made it into the league final, which it will host Wednesday, Nov. 15 in the Community Learning Campus gym.
The Spartans punched their ticket to that final Nov. 8 when they beat Didsbury in the semi-finals.
Head coach Blake Machan says they can’t rest on their laurels yet, they’ve still got work to do.
“We will keep drilling into the fundamentals and working on our offensive attack,” he wrote in an email.
Next up after the finals are the zones. If the Spartans win those, they’re off to provincials, Machan noted.
He said they’re working on communication as those big dates loom.
“The leadership group has been focusing on connection amongst the team,” Machan wrote. “As always, working to be present in the big moments and resetting our focus after each point is something we work on every day.”
