OLDS — Members of the École Olds High School senior girls volleyball team are league champions.
The Spartans won the local volleyball league championship in two sets Wednesday Nov. 15 in the CLC gym in Olds.
The first set was a nail-biter, but the second was a clear-cut victory.
“Julie Dunn went on a 13-serve run,” head coach Blake Machan wrote in an email.
After the match, the team celebrated the contribution of its four senior players: Avery Johnston, Megan Weisbrodt, Devyn Rice and Claire Andrew.
The team participated in Zone playoffs in Strathmore on Nov. 17. Results were not available at press time.
