OLDS — It’s been a great season for the École Olds High School (ÉOHS) senior girls volleyball team.

They finished first in their league. League finals were hosted by ÉOHS last week versus Sundre.

The Spartans had one more tournament on their calendar and it’s a big one: zones in Brooks, Nov. 15-16.

“This will be a challenging weekend for the girls with high-level teams at the tournament,” coach Jesse Stoddart wrote in an email.

“Our team has grown tremendously and are looking to finish the season strong.”

Stoddart said the Spartans have a lot of advantages.

“Our group is a very solid first-contact team with opportunities to score on each side of the court,” he wrote.

“Our team culture is also an area of strength.”
