OLDS — Olds Minor Soccer’s U13, U15 and U18 teams are heading to the indoor soccer provincials which will be held March 14-16 in Red Deer and Edmonton.
They were among five local teams that participated in the Red Deer indoor league playoffs during the March 1 weekend.
All five teams won medals.
The Olds Minor Soccer Association’s two U11 teams faced each other in the gold/silver match. The blue U11 team won gold, while the yellow U11 team settled for a silver medal.
The U13 and U15 teams also won gold.
The U18 team ended up getting a silver medal after what Olds Minor Soccer indoor coordinator Anke Wierenga describes as “a very intense close game.”
