Reese, Lewis win A event in Farmers, Farmerettes 'spiels

The 39th annual Farmers and 36th annual Farmerettes bonspiels are over for another year. Thirty-four men’s rinks and 16 ladies rinks competed at the Olds Curling Club from Feb. 12-16. Both bonspiels were another great success, organizers say.

The 39th annual Farmers and 36th annual Farmerettes bonspiels are over for another year.

Thirty-four men’s rinks and 16 ladies rinks competed at the Olds Curling Club from Feb. 12-16.

Both bonspiels were another great success, organizers say.

In the Farmers 'spiel, the Greg Reese rink, skipped by Rick Phillips, won the A event. Reese is a two-time winner and defending champ, after winning in 2018 as well.

The Larry Flesatti rink won the B event while the Larry Marshall rink took the C event and the Darryl Bauer rink came out on top in the D event.

In the Farmerettes 'spiel, Kim Lewis won the A event for the third time.

The Norma Clark rink won the B event and the Stacey Mathon rink won the  C event.
