The 18th annual STARS Renegade golf tournament fundraiser hosted recently at the Coyote Creek Golf and RV Resort drew out, despite a less-than-ideal forecast at the time, a record participation of 148 golfers, said Dean McBride, the course’s head golf pro.

That in turn resulted in raising approximately $15,000 after expenses, up from the last two years’ totals of about $12,000 in 2017 and $10,500 in 2016. “It was excellent,” said McBride, adding the event ran smoothly and was a good example of the community rallying to get behind a good cause.
