OLDS — Playoffs begin this Thursday for the École Olds High School senior girls basketball team when they host Cremona.
Tip-off is at 5:30 p.m.
The Spartans are going into that game on a high after downing Didsbury 79-48 last Wednesday.
That gave them a 5-1 record for first place in the league.
The Spartan senior girls also dominated their home tournament, held Jan. 28-29.
They finished first after defeating H.J. Cody of Sylvan Lake 78-42.
Brynlee Rice led the way for the Spartans with a 31-point game.
They got to the final by beating Cremona 72-33 and Bow Valley of Cochrane 53-49.
The senior boys won their home tournament as well.
