They are now going for what could be their sixth provincial championship. The meet will be held in Calgary on June 6 and 7, and 17 athletes from Sundre High School are participating.
They placed in the zone championship held in Calgary on May 27 as follows:
James Dyer placed first in the 800-metre race and the 1,500-metre race, as well as second for the overall aggregate winner
Jelmer van den Hadelkamp placed first in the 1,500-metre race and the 3,000-metre race, and second in the 4x400-metre relay
Tate Irving placed first in pole vault
Joleen Stermann placed second in high jump, and third for the overall aggregate winner
Maddi Savage-Howe placed first in javelin
Taylor Janz placed second in javelin
Dallas Wild placed first in shot put, first in pole vault, second in the high jump and triple jump, and was an all-round aggregate winner
