Olds Minor Soccer booted up Kick Off Soccer this week, its first summer skills camp for young players.

The program is for children from four years up to 12 years old, and offers a mix of soccer skills, drills and basic rules.

Coach Pepijn Maas, who plays for the men's soccer team in Olds, is running the program, which he said also goes beyond soccer skills to instill respect, team play and self-confidence.

The program still has drop-in spots for U-6 and U-8 age groups on July 12 and 19, as well as a full day camp on July 15 for U-10 and U-12 players, which will offer more advanced skills. There are further camp dates available in August and September.
