The students and staff of Sundre High raised and donated their loonies towards cancer research on September 28th, the Provincial Terry Fox Run Day. The run began in the gym with Terry Fox Foundation video and visit from Tony Stockard. Tony is an osteosarcoma survivor. His presence clearly demonstrated the benefits of funding cancer research, the indiscriminate nature of cancer, and the abilities of amputees. Running or walking together with River Valley School produced over 1,000 participants on a three kilometre course. This was an inspiring sight on a fall morning.
