OLDS — An Olds couple and a Didsbury couple medaled during the 55+ Games Zone 2 qualifier in floor shuffleboard, held March 25 in Cochrane.
In the super juniors square (under age 75) category, Nettie and Dave Neustaeter of Didsbury won a silver medal. Pat and Tom Bartholow of Olds won bronze, according to Douglas Campbell, director of areas 7 and 9 (Rocky View County) and (Bighorn County, Canmore, Banff)
Twenty seniors, all over age 70, competed at the event, hosted by the Big Country Seniors Sports Society.
The top two teams advance to the 55+ Games provincials, which will be held in Brooks Aug. 17-20.
