The Olds High School senior girls volleyball team finished fourth in its division, missing the playoffs during the Spartan Smash tournament from Oct. 24 to 25. During round-robin play, the team won two matches and lost three.

On Friday, the team beat Highwood, winning two sets 25-20 and 25-11 but lost matches to Banff and Bearspaw.
On Saturday, the Spartans defeated Sundre 25-11 and 25-12 but lost to Brooks.
Twelve teams played in the tournament.
