MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - Drivers on Highway 22 and Highway 27 in the Sundre area today are advised to be aware of several over-dimensional loads travelling through.
A 12.95 metre (m)-wide, 4.87 m-high and 25.91 m-long load started out from Calgary travelling to Rocky Mountain House at 12:01 a.m. this morning (Aug. 19). It is expected to reach Rocky Mountain House by 1 p.m. this afternoon.
Once the load hits Highway 22 north of Cochrane, it will travel north, then turn west onto Highway 27 going through Sundre. It will then travel north on Highway 22 again, reaching Rocky Mountain House early this afternoon.
The load will disembark Rocky at about 2 a.m. on Aug. 20, making its way north to its final destination in Onoway.
Another over dimensional load will be moved from Calgary to the Parkland Beach area starting at 11 p.m. tonight (Aug. 19).
It will take a similar route, heading north on Highway 22 north of Cochrane after making it out of the city, west on Highway 27 through Sundre and back onto Highway 22 heading north to Rocky Mountain House.
The 39 m-wide, 12 m-high, 65 m-long load is expected to be in the Parkland Beach area by 3 p.m.
