More than seven million votes were cast at advance polls between April 18 and April 21, an increase of 25 per cent over 2021 advance voting totals, Elections Canada said Tuesday morning.
According to the preliminary figures, 7.3 million electors voted at the advance polls over the four days in this general election, officials said April 22.
A breakdown of the estimated number of electors who voted at the advance polls for all electoral districts is being calculated and will soon be available, officials noted.
The number of people who voted at advance polls in the Yellowhead and Ponoka-Didsbury ridings had not yet been released.
The general election vote takes place April 28.
