MOUNTAIN VIEW COUNTY - An Alberta Emergency water alert issued Tuesday morning for everyone within 25 kilometres of Sundre was made in error, officials said.
“It was a training exercise,” Mountain View County spokesperson Shelley French told the Albertan. “We do these routine exercises through AEMA and we issued it through the training site and somehow it went to the public alert system.
“We are just looking into what happened, but there is no cause for concern. It was an exercise only and it definitely is not something that taking place. There’s nothing to be alarmed about and there is no emergency in place.”
This is an Alberta Emergency Alert. Mountain View County has cancelled a Water Supply Alert.
