LANGFORD, B.C. — Jamar Dixon, who captained Pacific FC to the Canadian Premier League championship last season, is staying put.
Pacific said Saturday that the 32-year-old midfielder from Ottawa will be back for the 2022 season. That's good news for a team that recently lost star forward Terran Campbell and midfielder Alessandro Hojabrpour to rival Forge FC.
Hojabrpour scored the lone goal as Pacific beat two-time defending champion Forge last month in the CPL title game.
Dixon, who has won three caps for Canada, played at St. Francis Xavier University before heading overseas to Sweden and Finland from 2013 and 2016. He then came home to join the Ottawa Fury before joining Pacific in January 2020.
