SHAWINIGAN, Que. — Mael Lavigne capped a two-goal effort with the game-winning score with 3:28 left in the third period as the Victoriaville Tigres edged the Shawinigan Cataractes 4-3 on Thursday in Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League action.

Lavigne also scored the game-tying goal 5:01 into the third period. Olivier Houde and Olivier Laverdière provided the rest of the offence for Victoriaville (8-11-1-1).

Gabriel D'Aigle made 35 saves.

Reece Peitzsche, Jiri Klima and Félix Lacerte scored for Shawinigan (11-9-0). Félix Hamel stopped 22 shots.
