DUNEDIN, Fla. — Tyler Wright hit a solo homer and Logan Warmoth had a two-run double in the bottom of the ninth inning as the Toronto Blue Jays salvaged a 4-4 tie with the Detroit Tigers in spring training action Sunday.

The Blue Jays opened the scoring in the first inning when Marcus Semien crossed the plate as Bo Bichette hit into a double play.

The Tigers tied it in the third when Isaac Paredes scored on a Victor Reyes groundout.

Detroit went up 4-1 in the eighth on a Kody Clemens RBI single and a Nomar Mazara two-run homer. But the Blue Jays earned the tie when they tagged Tigers reliever Beau Burrows for three runs in the ninth, all coming with one out.

Blue Jays starter Ross Stripling allowed one earned run on four hits over 5 2/3 innings, striking out two while not walking a batter.

Detroit starter Tarik Skubal gave up one earned run on three hits over five innings, striking out three and walking one.

The Blue Jays (15-9-2) close out their pre-season schedule Monday afternoon against Philadelphia in Lakeland, Fla. They open their regular season Thursday on the road against the New York Yankees.
