In Loving Memory of Jeffrey Andrew Baker
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Jeffrey Andrew Baker, whose remarkable life touched the hearts of many. He left us on September 7, 2024 at 7:48 Pm in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta at the age of 41. After a brief but incredibly challenging battle with cancer, Jeff fought valiantly, displaying the strength and determination of a true soldier, hoping to remain with us if it was God’s will.
Jeff took his last breath in the comfort of our home, surrounded by his loving wife, Neylin Baker, his daughter Alessia Baker, his parents, Lynn and Kevin Baker, and other family members. He was a caring and selfless individual, always thinking of others first. As a mentor, he was thorough and dedicated, offering unwavering support to those around him.
From the moment he was born, when his grandfather witnessed him turning onto his side on his very first day, Jeff was always strong and resilient. He was incredibly caring and sociable when surrounded by friends and family, though he may have seemed reserved at first.
From a young age, Jeff dreamed of saving the world and was drawn to uniformed careers. His aspiration included becoming an astronaut, a member of the military, a police officer, a firefighter, a pilot, and a medical professional, reflecting his deep desire to help others and make a difference.
As a husband and father, Jeff brought love, light, hope, and strength to his wife and daughter. He fiercely protected them, like a loving bear, always ready to offer comfort and support. Jeff found immense joy in taking them on hikes up the toughest mountains, relishing the beauty of nature and the sense of accomplishment that came with reaching new heights.
In addition to being a devoted family man, he was an incredibly hard worker known for his adventurous spirit. He loved camping, exploring new cuisines, and, most importantly, traveling with family and friends. His adventurous spirit led him on many journeys, including unforgettable experiences in the Amazon jungle, where friends would joke about his expertise in hunting sloths and trying a variety of very exotic dishes to honor local customs.
Jeff will be forever loved and remembered for the joy he brought to our lives. His legacy of love, kindness, respect, perseverance, resilience, discipline, and adventure will live on in our hearts.
