1952-2023
A loving husband and father and brother passed away Nov 23,2023 at the University Hospital in Edmonton with his wife. brother and sister-in-law at his side.
Educated in Olds he graduated in 1970 married in 1974 and has two children.
He had a 50-year career in the Oil and Gas Industry beginning with Fudds Construction. Pine Well Servicing, Pacific Petroleum and spent 24 years with Petro Canada. After Petro Canada he formed his consulting company J. Bannerman Ventures and continued to work until retirement in 2011. He met and worked with many wonderful people all over Alberta. BC and NWT that became good lifelong friends,
His favorite memories were his business trip to Duncan. Oklahoma and fishing trips to Campbell River and Thubin Lake, NWT.
After his retirement Jack relocated to Olds. to be closer to family. He really enjoyed golfing. fishing and gardening. Being around family always made him happy. He traveled a lot for relaxation and to visit his sister in the U.S.
Jack was predeceased by his parents. Charles and Margaret Bannerman, four sisters Phyllis. Betty, Helen and Jeanette. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Kathy, son Shane (Melissa), daughter Angie (Josh), brother Pat (Ingrid) Bannerman and brother-in-law Pat Fritzsche. He thought the world of his grandchildren, Paige Bannerman. Ty and Keira Wagner. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the Cancer Society.
