1933-2022
Lester Allen Bergeson passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Lester was born February 17, 1933 at Calgary, Alberta. Lester married Lois Parkhurst, and in 1955 they bought the farm west of Cremona, where he resided until his passing.
Lester enjoyed travelling with Lois in their RV and going on cruises. Lester was a real gadabout, and could regularly be found visiting with everyone and anyone at coffee shops, around town, and at local businesses. Lester delighted in teaching his grandkids about the farming life: feeding cows, searching for new kittens, riding horses, and even touring the fields in a horse-drawn sleigh. Lester relished the company of his dogs, Toby and Koda, and his cats; settling in each night to watch Westerns together.
Lester will be lovingly remembered by his brother Robert (Bev), his children Bernard, Lloyd (Bev), Lorraine (Ernie), his grandchildren Julie (Cory), Josh (Jen), Aaron, Cody (Taleah), Chad, Tammy (Nolan), Tricia (Dusty), and 12 great-grandchildren.
Lester was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Jean, wife Lois, granddaughter Janiece, brothers Clifford, Leonard, and James, and his sister Betty.
A private family gathering will be held at Lester’s farm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alberta Diabetes Foundation (8602 112 Street NW, Edmonton, Alberta T6G 2E1)
Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa, you will be sadly missed and forever cherished.
