1937 – 2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Shirley Ruth Bilton announce her passing on Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at the age of 86 years.
Shirley was born on February 24, 1937 to Bill and Ruth Lalor and lived on the family farm, east of Innisfail, Alberta. She was the eldest of their three children, a sibling to Mary and Jim. She will be remembered for her quick wit and sarcasm, her steadfast love of family and her gentle kindness to others.
Shirley is lovingly remembered by her children, Amber (Gavin), Aron (Jody), Kyla (Ken), her grandchildren, Dallas (TerraLee), Dayleen, Dylan (Catherine), Tyson (Chris) and Brooke (Mitchell) and her great grandchildren, Hank, Riggs and Lainey.
She is predeceased by her parents Bill and Ruth Lalor, her brother Jim Lalor, her sister Mary Rehman and her loving husband Art.
If desired, Memorial Donations in Shirley’s honor may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation at heartandstroke.ca or to the charity of the donor’s choice. As per Shirley’s wishes a private family celebration of life will be held at a later date.
