After a tragic fall, our beloved Dawn succumbed to her injuries at the age of 83 years.
She will be incredibly missed and forever loved by her children: Barry, Brian, Marlene, Penny, Dan, Daryl, and their families; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; as well as her close friend, Dave, and the residents and staff at Autumn Glen Lodge.
Dawn was predeceased by her loving parents, Philip and Betty, her adoring husband, Oliver, and her eldest son Ron.
Being a generous and welcoming woman, she loved playing cards, enjoyed flowers, going to Bingo, and crafting. Dawn was stubborn with a good sense of humour and an infectious positivity. Many people were blessed to have known her and she has left an incredible mark in their lives. Dawn will be truly missed.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the residents and staff at Autumn Glen Lodge for their friendship, compassion, and care in Dawn’s remaining years. And a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the Red Deer and University of Alberta Hospitals – you all are so caring and fantastic, you went above and beyond for Dawn. Thank you.
Honouring Dawn’s wishes, no funeral will be held. Donations in her memory can be made to STARS Air Ambulance.
