Its with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Alix on July 29, 2024 at the age of 92.
Alix Marion Young was the 4th born of 6 children to Dorothy Marion and Robert Bruce Young. She was born on January 23rd, 1932 at the family home in Cochrane, Alberta. She was raised and attended school in Stavely and Nanton, Alberta. Alix met Carl Bondy in Stavely in 1948 at the age of 16 and they were married December 28th, 1950. Alix and Carl went on to build their legacy having 4 children, Colette (Keith Conquergood), Jacalyn (Johnny Guy), Sandra (McHaney) and Ralph (Eva Pfeiffer) Bondy. They have 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren with one on the way. Alix, together with Carl, had many, many friends, and their children, that were all considered family.
Alix had a full life and many wonderful adventures throughout her marriage of 73 years. In addition to being a fabulous mother, she worked retail and culinary arts. Alix worked side by side with Carl on the family farm(s) and through many home renovations. Alix had a passion for travel, Mother Nature and horses.
