1930 - 2022
It is with saddened hearts and love that we announce the peaceful passing of Mrs. Joan Boyce (nee Parcels) of Innisfail, Alberta on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at the age of 91 years. Joan was born on September 20, 1930 at the family farm in the Horn Hill District. She was the youngest of four children born to Ivan and Annie Parcels.
Joan will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Debbie (Dennis) and son, Jim (Haydie); her grandchildren, Tyler (Kayla), Vikki (Dante), Lance and Lauren; her great grandchildren, Lanna (Derek), Brady, Hannah, Maggie, Lena, Porter, Gabbie, Bradley, Sophia, and her one great great grandson, Tanner. Joan also leaves to mourn her in-laws, Shirley Parcels, Joyce Boyce and Bill and Beth Boyce and Burlette Looy; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Joan was predeceased by her husband, Allan; her sisters, Barb and Betty and a brother, Mac.
Joan’s family would like to express a very heartfelt “Thank You” to Dr. Chauhan and all the staff at Sunset Manor. The wonderful care and compassion she received, while a resident was exemplary.
A Funeral Service will be held at the Baptist Church of Innisfail, 5204 Woodland Road, Innisfail, Alberta on Saturday, March 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if desired, Memorial Donations in Joan’s honor may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and Northwest Territories, 306, 10430 - 61 Avenue NW, Edmonton, Alberta, T6H 2J3 or Camp Little Red, Box 334, Bowden, Alberta, T0M OKO.
