1942 – 2024
Mrs. Loraine Ursula Callfas of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre, Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, March 15, 2024 at the age of 81 years.
Loraine was born at Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan on April 25, 1942 to parents Douglas and Corinna Inglis. They moved to Edmonton, Alberta when she was in her teens.
Loraine loved to travel, and in her twenties she moved to Whitehorse, Yukon. She returned to Alberta and lived in Calgary, where she met Donald Callfas, they were married in 1974.
Loraine and Donald moved to Innisfail in 1978, where they raised their five children. Loraine joined the Innisfail Bowling Alley and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the Innisfail Royal Canadian Legion.
Loraine will be lovingly remembered by her husband of forty-nine years, Donald Callfas, her son James Callfas, her daughter, Corinna (Tony) Thomas, and her four grandchildren, Nicholai, Ashton, Kayden, and Angelisa.
She was predeceased by her parents, Corinna and Doug Inglis, her three sisters, Kathleen, Elaine, and Nina, and her three children, Gordan, Ursula, and Grant.
A Celebration of Loraine’s Life will be held at a later date.
