Mrs. Lillian Wilhelmina Carver of Penhold, Alberta passed away at the Rosefield Care Centre, Innisfail, Alberta on Sunday, May 3, 2020 at the age of 91 years.
Lillian was born in Arborfield, Saskatchewan on March 3, 1929 to Peter and Wilhelmina Bouteiller, where she grew up. She married Cecil Howard Carver at the United Church in Red Deer, Alberta; with three children to follow, Brian, Judy and Barry.
Lillian was active in the Canadian Military, teaching the men how to drive the large trucks. She was very athletic and took part in baseball and curling. Lillian worked at The Bay and was the Manager of the Copperhood Restaurant for many years. She was an active member of the Penhold Community Church and the Penhold Seniors Drop In Centre.
Lillian will be lovingly remembered by her children, Brian (Dawn) Carver of Red Deer County, Judy Nelson of Penhold and Barry (Rhonda) Carver of Benalto; her seven grandchildren, Darrin (Jodi), Brian (Susan), Beverly (Brad), Denise (Todd), Chris (June), Melanie (Dan), and Robyn; her sixteen great grandchildren, Karli, Kyle, Brandon, Mackenzie, Jacob, Braydon, Matthew, Owen, Abigail, Baylie, Brooklyn, Dylan, Westin, Brody, Carver and Case; and her brother, Eugene Bouteiller.
Lillian was predeceased by her husband, Cecil Howard Carver, her parents, Pete and Mira (Wilhelmina) Bouteiller, a son-in-law, James Nelson and her siblings, Walter, Margaret, Alice, Merland, Irene, Harold and Helene.
A Celebration of Lillian’s Life will be held at a later date.
