1958 – 2020
It is with great sadness that we must say goodbye to Mrs. Catherine Gail ‘Cathy’ Cherneske, who passed away unexpectedly at the Foothills Medical Centre, Calgary, Alberta on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at the age of 62 years.
Cathy was born in Innisfail, Alberta on September 23, 1958, to parents Robert and Margaret Dyer. Cathy married Stan Cherneske in Strathmore, Alberta, and together they raised their only child, Kevin. Cathy had retired from AGT and Telus Communication Services; where she worked most of her life, as an Operator. Cathy enjoyed many happy years living near the James River Store, and most recently, in Innisfail, with her loving husband, Stan. Her grandchildren were Cathy’s whole world and were an endless source of joy in her life. She was taken from them, and all of us, too soon. Cathy was full of life and brought energy and personality to her home and family. She loved all of her family very much and you could always count on her to bring family and friends together.
Cathy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her husband, Stan Cherneske, her son, Kevin (Carley) Cherneske and her two grandchildren, Korben and Soden Cherneske. She will also be sadly missed by her mother, Margaret Dyer, her brothers, Allan (Lori) and Brian (Sharon) Dyer and their families, and her sister, Carol Tiffin and her family.
Cathy was predeceased by her father, Robert Dyer. A Family Memorial Service for Cathy will be held at a later date.
