Elizabeth (Betty) Gloria Clark passed away peacefully at Innisfail Hospital in Innisfail, Alberta at the age of 75. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Carter Clark, her children Michael (Georgina), Heather (Gerald), Andrew (Trudy), and Paul (Amy), her grandchildren Stephen, Katelynn, Joshua, Jacob, Carter, Logan, and her great granddaughter Jamie-Lynn.
Betty was born and raised in St. John’s, Newfoundland, where she met her husband Carter. They were married in January of 1964, and moved west after their retirement to be closer to family. Betty was an avid reader, enjoyed couples’ card night with her inlaws, and was an excellent dart player. She loved 50s music, a good cup of tea, and knitting baby clothes. Betty had a great sense of fun, was accepting of others, and a good listener. Most of all, Betty loved her family, and especially her grandchildren. She rocked and sang to crying babies, played hockey and dress-up, kissed bumps and bruises, and read countless bedtime stories.
Betty will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in Betty’s name to the charity of your choice.
