Jan Clair (Bud) Crosbie of Didsbury, AB, passed away surrounded by his loving family, June 9, 2022, at the age of 80 years.

 Bud was born in Olds, AB, and spent most of his life farming in the Elkton area. As a young man, he ventured out into the world, to experience many walks of life. He worked as a guide for a trail riding stable in Banff, AB. He spent time in Terrace, BC clearing snow from the rail lines, and time in the Territories, maintaining ice roads. He worked in road construction, operating heavy equipment, and worked on a gravel crushing crew, before settling on the farm. The family had a dairy business for about 15 years, before getting into beef cattle. Bud took a lot of pride in his Black Angus herd. While farming, he also worked over 20 years for Mountain View County, maintaining roads, then becoming Infrastructure Manager. He officially retired in 2006, but decided to work for another 4 years, on the labour crew and plowing snow in the winter.  Bud loved riding his horse, snowmobiling, camping, coaching Cremona Cruisers ladies ball team. His greatest pleasure was watching his Grandkids playing whatever sport they were involved in.

Bud will be forever remembered by his wife of 23 years, Karla, son, Clair, daughter, Dixie (Jeff) Nickerson and stepchildren, Robert (Tracy) Steffler, Becky (Josh) Doblo. Grandkids, Taylor, Kyle, Wyatt, Lane, Berkley, Brayden, Madison, Shayna, Rylee as well as by numerous family members and friends.

Bud was predeceased by his parents, Clair Crosbie and Lucille Roberts, twin sister Janet Phillips, stepfather Robert Roberts.

A Come and Go Celebration of Life for Bud will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at the Cremona Community Hall, Cremona, AB from 2:00 to 4:00 pm
