May 2, 1953 - January 14, 2020
Deb left us suddenly on January 14th 2020 at the age of 66.
She was the second daughter of Ken and Pauline Bowen and was born in Dowlais South Wales on May 2nd 1953.
The family emigrated to Canada in 1956. In 1975 she obtained her Registered Nursing Certificate from St. Mary's Hospital in London England.
Later that same year Deb and Derek were united in marriage and were blessed with two children, Sian in 1978 and Evan in 1981.
She dedicated her working life to the medical profession, especially at the Didsbury Hospital where she worked for over 30 years.
Deb leaves to mourn her passing, Derek, her husband of 44 years, her daughter Sian (Dave) their three sons Dan, Samuel and Robert;
she also leaves her son Evan and her sisters Sarah (Ed), Rebecca (Paul) and her brother Jon (Barb), as well as many nephews, nieces, friends and former colleagues. She was predeceased by her father in 1974 and mother in 2016.
In accordance with Deb's wishes there will not be a funeral.
A private celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
