Patricia Fox, 78, of Carstairs, passed away peacefully on April 5th, 2023, at the Didsbury Hospital. Born on January 5th, 1945, in Calgary to the late Elmer and Dorothy Rogers. Patricia was a kind and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She attended Carstairs High School and later earned her Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in 1994. Patricia worked for many years at the Sundre and Didsbury Hospitals, providing compassionate care to her patients. Patricia was a devoted wife to her husband Alex for 60 years. As an amazing mother, she always put her children first. Patricia loved spending time with her friends and was an avid curling enthusiast. She also enjoyed reading and was especially fond of spending time with her grandchildren and their families.
Patricia is survived by her loving husband, Alex; son Darcy and his wife Jaci, along with their children and their families: Elizabeth, Elias, Trent, Travis, Trevor; daughter Kelly and her husband Dewey, along with their children: Katelyn and Rowan; son Bradley and his wife Tracy, along with their daughter Marisa. Patricia is also survived by her sister Donna and her husband Lyle, along with their children and their families: Janna, Andrea, and Kristen; brother Bob, along with his children and their families: Kim and Lisa.
A memorial service will be held on April 21st, 2023, at 1:00 pm at the Carstairs Community Centre, followed by a light lunch and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, Patricia has requested that donations be made to Between Friends, a charitable organization that provides quality social, recreation, and development opportunities for people with disabilities. Her granddaughter Marisa has been a member of the organization, and Patricia wished to support their important work. Donations can be made at www.betweenfriends.ab.ca.
Patricia will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature, her sense of humor, her grace, and her unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
