1952 - 2024
Heather Goddard of Eagle Hill (Sundre) passed away peacefully Monday August 26, 2024, at the age of 72 years.
Heather was born in Innisfail, Alberta on January 7, 1952, to Syd and Myrtle (nee Fisher) Quartly. The youngest of 3 children, she grew up on a farm in the Clarendon district east of Innisfail with most of her extended family- Fisher and Quartly in the local area. Heather attended the Innisfail school for all 12 grades. After graduating, Heather worked at various jobs where many friendships blossomed due to her kindness and outgoing personality.
Heather married Terry Goddard of Olds, Alberta on February 5, 1972, in Innisfail. They resided in several locations in Alberta until purchasing and moving to the family farm in Eagle Hill in 1983. This is where they raised their two children Adrian and Jennifer and where she passed away.
Heather was predeceased by her husband of 46 years Terry, her Grandson Rayne Stefanowich, her Granddaughter Jaidenn Armstrong, her parents Syd and Myrtle (nee Fisher) Quartly, two sisters in law, Carla Quartly and Carol Lynch, brothers in law Tom Lynch and Tom Barton as well as her parents in law Ches and Rhoda Goddard.
Heather is survived by her son Adrian Goddard (Karen Glubrecht) Tijanna,Lendenn, Mason and Austin, her daughter Jennifer Stefanowich (Scott) Chacie and Tevin, her big brother Darrold Quartly ( late Carla) of Stony Plain, her big sister Jill Juuti ( Robert) of Rimbey, sister in law Marilynn Barton of Calgary, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A celebration of life will be held at the Eagle Hill Memorial Community Hall at a later date. Heartland Funeral Services Ltd., Olds entrusted with arrangements.
