March 3, 1933 -October 9, 2021
Edward Hadway was born on March 3, 1933 in Gilbert Plains, MB and passed away peacefully in Didsbury on Saturday, October 9, 2021 at the age of 88 years.
Ed was predeceased by his wife, Betty (nee McLellan), of Calgary who passed away in 2007. They were married on October 3, 1959 in Calgary.
Ed is lovingly remembered by his son, Tom Hadway (Carol) of Didsbury; daughters, Donn Hutchison (Michael) of Whistler, BC, Sharon Hadway (Steve) of Nanimo, BC, and Lisa Spain (Kalani) of Hilo, Hawaii; grandchildren, Dayna Cameron (Caith), Will Hadway, Andrea Schmidt (Brayden), and Josie Hadway of Didsbury and Annelise Hutchison, Joseph Hutchison (Jenn) and Jonathan Hutchison of Whistler, BC and Ella and Malia of Hilo, Hawaii; as well as great-grandchildren, Carter, Calum, Conlen and Nathaniel. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed graduated from High School in Dauphin, Manitoba and obtained a BSC in Geology at the University of Alberta. He worked in the oil & gas industry then went on to earn a Dental Degree at the University of Manitoba in 1967.
The family moved back to Alberta in 1967 and purchased land in the Didsbury area in 1974. Ed was an avid curler, golfer and enjoyed working on the farm. Ed suffered a life changing stroke in 2006. He will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
