1960 – 2024
Mr. Thomas ‘Tom’ Plechelmus Hampsink of Innisfail, Alberta passed away at home on Thursday, March 21, 2024, at the age of 63 years.
Tom, as he was lovingly known as, was born on May 20, 1960, to Theodorus and Alida Hampsink in Wetaskiwin, Alberta.
For the past twenty years, Tom resided in Innisfail, Alberta. His working career encompassed seismic and water well drilling, farm hand work and general construction laborers. Tom loved the outdoors, camping, fishing and sitting around the fire with family and friends. He had a love for animals, having a dog at his side, his travel partner even when working in the north. Tom was a gentle soul and kindhearted person who will be missed.
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Anja (Fraser) MacDonald of Edmonton, Alberta, his brothers, Robert (Harjeet Jugdev) Hampsink of Calgary, Alberta and Paul Hampsink of Spruce Grove, Alberta. He will also be deeply missed by his nieces and nephews, Felicia and Todd MacDonald of Edmonton, Alberta, Spencer and Chyanne Hampsink of Spruce Grove, Alberta, Cody Foster, of Peace River, Alberta and multiple great nieces and nephews.
Tom is predeceased by his dear companion, Avila Wylie, his parents, Theodorus and Alida Hampsink and his daughter, Miranda Angel Hampsink.
