1959 - 2023

After a courageous battle with a chronic illness Kerri passed away at the Olds Hospital on October 7th. Her son, Marc, daughter, Eryn and oldest sister, Nyna, were with her.

Kerri, born in Lloydminster on March 5, was the youngest of Perry and Mayme’s 9 children.  When she was 14, she moved to Innisfail to live with her brother, George, and family and did the rest of her schooling there.  Kerri was always outgoing and showed leadership qualities at a young age.  After completing high school, she decided on a career with The Royal Bank.  She worked her way up to Bank Manager and was well respected by her clients in Innisfail, Olds, Red Deer and Consort.  She was a dedicated member of Branch 104, Innisfail Legion, serving on the Board for several years.  She was a loving, caring hockey, and dance Mom. Doing all she could to make sure her children had a solid upbringing.

Kerri leaves to mourn her loss; son, Marc Edgar; daughter, Eryn (Chris) Dezall; granddaughters Eden and Sage (their “Umma”).

She also leaves her brothers and sisters: George Herman, Nyna (Ernest) Marr, Nita (Al) Cooper, Peter (Marg) Herman, Lanny (Neil) Anderson, Derrill Herman, Ted Herman and many nieces and nephews and their offsprings; her surrogate daughter “Chrissy.  Kerri called all of them her “favorites”.  Her whole extended family, friends, and clients.

She was predeceased by her baby sister, Lori Kim; parents Perry and Mayme Herman; her “pops” Charlie Swan; sisters-in-law, Rose and Liia Herman.

A keeper of family history, an obituary giver, a singer, and a bright light has left us.

Ne Obliviscaris - we will not forget.

A Celebration of life was held on October 20, 2023. As per Kerri’s request a family reunion will be held at a later date.
