Larry was born on February 3, 1938, in Eastend, Saskatchewan. In 1948, the Heth family moved from a farm near Eastend, Saskatchewan, to a farm in the Centerville District in central Alberta.
As a young man, Larry worked a variety of jobs. In 1961, he married Helen Fowler and moved to Edmonton, Alberta, where he began his career in accounting. Between 1962 and 1968, Larry’s three children were born. In 1982, he relocated to Innisfail and started an accounting firm, which he operated until his retirement. Larry was a member of the Markerville Historical Society and enjoyed morning coffee with friends. He also loved traveling and researching his family history. Throughout his life, Larry had a passion for cars—particularly Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep. He loved buying, selling, trading, and driving cars, both for himself and for others. As a family, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Innisfail Rosefield Centre for taking such good care of our father, Larry, during his time there.
We are grateful for the friendships and sense of community he fostered in Innisfail. A Come and Go Tea in Larry's honour will be held at the Fensala Hall, in Markerville, Alberta on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to Alberta Diabetes Foundation 8602 112 St N.W.
