1940 - 2023
It is with great sorrow that we share the news of the passing of John Henry Horton at the age of 83, after a battle with cancer, at the Royal Alexandra Hospital on August 20th, 2023.
John, or fondly known as Butch, is survived by his wife of 63 years, Joyce; children: Vicky (Mike Moroz), Valerie (Errol Siemens), and Michael (Colleen) along with nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren; siblings, Allan, Louise (Lorne Beaver), and Garry (Maureen), as well as numerous nephews and nieces.
John’s pets brought him a lot of joy over the years, and he could often be seen cuddling with them in his favourite spot in a room. He enjoyed camping and excelled at curling, golf, hockey, and baseball. He will be remembered for his quick wit, zest for teasing, his mischievous smirk, and the many memories of our time with him.
