It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Jackson, who left us on March 17, 2025, at the age of 94 years.
Betty was born on April 19, 1930, in Port Colborne, Ontario. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, cherished friend, and an irreplaceable presence in the lives of those who knew her. Her strength and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts.
Betty is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert (Tracy) Jackson of Lousana, Alberta, grandson Jordan Jackson (Jordie) of Red Deer, granddaughters Shelby (Bryce) Prysunka of Red Deer, Morgan (Tyler) Harbaruk of Sherwood Park and Kacey Jackson of Red Deer as well as two great grandchildren, Lenah and Harry Prysunka. Her family and friends will always treasure the memories they shared.
She was predeceased by her parents Josephine and Joseph Barankay and three brothers, John, Steve and Alec Barankay.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 5, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the Innisfail Legion, where family and friends will gather to honor and celebrate her life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alberta Heart and Lung Foundation or Stars Ambulance in her memory.
