Gregory Fred Jensen of Carstairs, beloved husband of Judy Jensen, died unexpectedly Saturday September 28th, 2024, at the age of 69, in a place he loved.

He will be lovingly remembered by Judy his wife of 47 years, as well as by his children; Rebecca (Warren) Molnar, Joshua (Tara) Jensen, and Kathryn (Patrick) McCormick, along with 11 grandchildren.

Greg was born in Calgary and raised west of the town of Carstairs, after graduation he worked various jobs before attending Olds College for Horse Husbandry. Following college, Greg worked on an Arabian Stud farm outside of Taber for 3 years, during which time he proposed to and married Judy. The couple returned to the Carstairs area where Greg did some farming, odd jobs and then trucking.

After working for Sheehan’s under the name Bales trucking, Greg and Judy purchased the business, and shortly after changed the name to Jensen Trucking. Greg and Judy owned the business for 25 years. After shutting down the business, Greg began to work in sales, first at Universal Ford selling heavy trucks, and then at Kubota selling tractors and farm equipment.

Greg retired after this but still kept himself busy on the farm, and helping people. In his retirement Greg still enjoyed horses, was very social, and took up some new hobbies including jewelry making (using old coins) and restoring old axes and furniture.

Greg was predeceased by his parents (Ken & Marion Jensen) and brother (Curt Jensen), niece (Christine Pieper), and father in law and mother in law (George & Shirley Pieper) brother in law (Paul Dovey)
