1JUTRAS Obituary

December 30, 1941 – April 13, 2022

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Murray Jutras in Olds, AB, at the age of 80.

Murray loved being outdoors and spent many years camping, boating and especially fishing, which he found very therapeutic. One of the highlights of his fishing adventures was his trip to the Coast with his buddies. Another pastime he enjoyed was sitting and watching the birds perch on one of his homemade birdhouses or fighting for a spot in the birdbath. He could name pretty much every type found in Alberta.

In 1965, Murray began his lengthy career at AGT/Telus where he was honored for his many years of service upon his retirement on December 2, 1994. He went on to join Big Horn Electric where he continued to take pride in his work. He was very grateful for the life‐long friendships that stemmed from his career and was happy to share many great memories he had from throughout the years.

Murray kept very busy and could often be found woodworking in his garage. A talent that lead him to building a few of his own houses and making many projects for friends and family, including the horse race games he made for the Royal Canadian Legion, where he was a member for a number of years. He could also be found visiting with friends in the backyard or taking on a new challenge, such as learning to use a computer. He was very intelligent and accomplished anything he set his mind to. His guidance and advice will be greatly missed.

Murray leaves to mourn his loving spouse of 36 years Donna, two sons James (Lisa) and Elray, his grandchildren, good friend Judy, Donna’s family and many friends. In keeping with Murray’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.

The family would like to thank everyone who contributed to Murray’s health care.
