Robert “Bob” Kennedy passed away peacefully on November 23, 2023 at the Bethany Care Centre, Didsbury, Alberta.
Bob is survived by, and will be deeply missed by his children, Rob (Joan) Kennedy, Laurie (Jim)Kennedy, Sandy (Jen) Kennedy and Jane (Pete) Laurin, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Robert and Jessie Kennedy; his brother Stewart “Stew” Kennedy; his wife Eleanor “Ellie” Kennedy (nee Ronn); and his later in life partner Eleanor Engman (nee Hatfield).
Bob enjoyed a long and full life, and throughout he never shied away from hard work. Bob was a business man who also enjoyed an active outdoor lifestyle fishing, hunting, cross-country skiing, hiking, as well as wood carving, billiards, and most often puttering in his ‘shop’- be it at the Ranch, Calgary, or Cremona.
Bob always enjoyed the company of good friends, good times, and a good laugh. He was also the one to turn to for help, always able and willing to lend a hand or offer sage advice whenever needed, often going above and beyond.
Bob was a loving and caring father and grandfather. He was empathic and thoughtful to all of those whose lives he touched.
Bob’s family would like to thank the administration and care staff at the Didsbury Bethany Care Centre for providing kind and compassionate care for Bob in his final days.
