September 22, 1978 - March 29, 2020
It is with broken hearts and great sorrow that the family of Michelle Dawn LaCroix announces her sudden and tragic passing on Sunday March 29, 2020, at her home near Sundre, Alberta.
Michelle was born in Thunder Bay, Ont. and moved out west with her family as a toddler. She was raised in Fort St John, B.C. and then relocated to southern Alberta where she spent the rest of her adult life.
Michelle lived life out loud, living and playing by her own rules. She loved and protected her family fiercely and was a force to be reckoned with at times. She was strong, compassionate and generous. Often opening her home to those in need of a friend, a shoulder to lean on or a place to stay, always looking out for the underdog. Michelle was in her happy place while driving her skid steer and hanging out with her horses and Shepherd’s.
She leaves to mourn her greatest loves, her children, Mikyla, 16, and Kade, 14, her husband Lance Somerville, parents Donna and Jerry Harvey, brother and sister-in-law Ryan and Nicole LaCroix, and many other extended family members. Michelle was predeceased by her loving grandparents, Queenie and John Tremblay of Olds Alberta.
Due to the Coronavirus outbreak, Michelle has been cremated, interment and memorial will be held at a later date at Eden Brook Memorial Gardens.
Condolences may be forwarded to the family by visiting edenbrookcemetery.ca. Arrangements entrusted to Eden Brook Funeral Home and Reception Centre, 24223 Twp Rd 242, Calgary, AB, T3Z 3K2.
