It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our loving Mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, Elsie Ann LaFlamme.
She passed away peacefully at Seasons Encore on March 29, 2020 with her family by her side.
Elsie was born in Manning, AB and lived in the Peace River area until she met and married Martin LaFlamme. They settled in Olds and had 3 children.
Elsie was a member of both Oil Wives and the IODE for many years.
She enjoyed curling, bowling bingo and gardening.
Elsie worked at the Olds Co-op for many years and loved the camaraderie of the Olds people coming in and sharing a story or telling a joke, as she talked about it all the time.
She was predeceased by her husband Butch, sister Joyce, brothers Harold and Billy and son Boyd.
She is survived by her two children Deanna ( Calvin ) and Cy ( Sandy). She was adored by her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them – Chantelle (Matt), Natalie, Lance, Dillon, Dawson, Tristen and Jaquelynne and her great-grandson Luca Flynn. She is also survived by her sisters Chrissy Gray, Irene Wannit, Linda Jerden and brothers Donald Belcourt and Edgar Rayner.

A celebration of Elsie’s life will be held at a later date.
