It is with heavy hearts that on May 21, 2020 we had to say goodbye to Larry ‘Otto’ Lehrman of Innisfail, Ab. Otto had numerous friends and will be sorely missed.
He was loved and treasured by long-time partner of 29 yrs. Diane Lewis. His parents Hans and Ruth Lehrman of Innisfail, his brother Brian Lehrmann (Brenda) of Spruce Grove, Step daughter Erin (Vince) Miller and grandson Treysen of Red Deer. Father and mother-in-law Roy & Estella Graham of Innisfail.
Larry ran heavy equipment early on, and did carpentry work with his father and brother, next rig work and finally farmed which he loved.
He survived a double lung transplant in2005 and celebrated his (15th) birthday this year. Unfortunately due to rejection pills his kidneys were failing and he could not overcome dialysis. The family would like to thank all those in Edmonton who cared for him through his transplant journey. They were beyond fantastic.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation a celebration of life will be held at a later date to kick back, crack a brew, play happy music and laugh but feel free to put a ‘candle in the window’.
Memorial donations in Otto’s honour may be made directly to the Central Alberta Humane Society, Red Deer, AB. Or if you are comfortable with it please sign your organ donation cards.
Life is like a journey taken on a train with a pair of travellers at each window pane. I may sit beside you, all the journey through or I might sit elsewhere, never knowing you but if fate should make me to sit by your side let’s be pleasant travellers. It’s so short a ride.
