June 2, 1970 – March 27, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Vern Jason Linderman of Wimborne, Alberta on March 27, 2022, at the age of 51. Vern will be lovingly remembered by his two beautiful daughters Morgan and Brooklyn and their mother, Sheena. Vern is also survived by his mother Shirley; brothers Corey (Kim); Bud, his nephew Ryder; Lee (Lisa), his niece Jorja and nephew Jack; father-in-law Ken (Marilyn); mother-in-law Kathleen (Brian); brother-in-law Kris (Kellie) and his nephews Owen and Kingston; brother-in-law Dylan; as well as numerous friends and close coworkers. Vern was predeceased by his father, Kenneth in 2002.
Vern was passionate about many activities over the years. As a young boy, he cherished his hunting adventures with his dad and brothers and enjoyed dirt biking, badminton, karate and track and field. As some may know, Vern proclaimed to be the fastest person in the County, a record he was proud to share with all who knew him.
Vern was a skilled craftsman and a tireless worker. As a carpenter, Vern, thrived with a tool belt on his side. Those that worked with Vern quickly appreciated his dedication to the craft and work ethic. This attention to detail was observed every spring and summer in his meticulously maintained yard.
Vern was a dedicated father. He loved his girls deeply. He enjoyed participating in their activities – coaching softball, building stages for the dance team, teaching them to fish and camp and/or anything that the girls were keen to do. He took great pride in the ladies that they have grown up to be.
Vern will be remembered for his kind spirit, gentle soul, and loving personality. He will be greatly missed.
A private ceremony will be held at Wimborne Cemetery on April 2, 2022, followed by a celebration of life at the Trochu Community Hall at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alberta Children’s Hospital Foundation in Vern Linderman’s name.
