1935 - 2021
It is with much sadness that the family of Mrs. Grace Elizabeth Little announce her passing. Grace passed away peacefully on November 26, 2021 at the age of 86 years.
She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Grace was born to Frank and Emma Eyben at Vermilion, Alberta on February 8, 1935, where she grew up on the family farm. Grace married the love of her life, Stuart Taylor Little on August 22, 1956. After marrying Stu, they moved to Vegreville, Brownvale, Wembley, Beaverlodge, Banff and Innisfail, where they made their home for 44 years.
Grace enjoyed cooking, gardening, scrapbooking, catering for the Innisfail United Church, and spending time with her 4 children and many grandchildren. Grace had a kind soul and always saw the best in people. One of her greatest passions was yoga. She was a yoga instructor for many years, and a very strong advocate in the yoga community. She was a substitute teacher, a massage therapist/reflexologist and taught aqua fitness to seniors. Grace was an incredible cook and host, always willing to help out and feed her many friends and family and guests over the years.
Together Grace and Stuart enjoyed travelling the world enjoying their well deserved retirement.
Grace will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 65 years, Stuart, her daughter, Liz Little, John (Suzanne) Little, David (Debbie) Little and Louise McMurray (Adam) and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Ruby Samuelson, Lyla (Norman) Brown and brother-in-law, Buddy Olsen.
Grace was predeceased by brothers, Sonny and Carl Eyben and her sisters, Dorothy (Albert) Miller, and Hazel Olsen. A Celebration of Grace’s Life will be held at the Innisfail Library Learning Centre on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. For those attending the Service, proof of vaccination is required. The Service will also be Live Streamed for those unable to attend.
