It is with sadness we announce the passing of Luella Bertha (nee Stromsmoe) on February 9/20 at Chilliwack Cascade Lodge at 99 years of age. She leaves behind her daughter (Dianne Dodd), granddaughters (Tanya and Sheryl), great grandsons (Remy and Jackson) and numerous nieces and nephews.
After sister Carla’s death, she raised Jim and Gary Rose as young boys. She was predeceased by her husband (Otto Fred), granddaughter (Teresa Maier) and her three sisters, all younger than her.
While in Olds, Luella was active in the Order of Royal Purple, Glamis WI, Olds Hospital Auxiliary, and the Lutheran Church. She was President on the board that built the facility for the Evergreen Senior Club in 1988. She moved to BC in 2009 to be closer to family but always spoke about Olds. She will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts.
